Beaulah completed her first NaNoWriMo in 2005, sparking ideas that eventually became the world and people of Tryia. Five drafts later, she self-published her first novel, The Silver Hawk (Book one of the Chronicles of Tyria), via CreateSpace and Amazon.

She is currently writing the second book in that series, in between teaching young people’s writing classes and teaching design programs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator to high schoolers and industry professionals. She is heavily involved in community projects such as the Christchurch Writers’ Guild – a group for self-published authors in Christchurch – and SpecFicNZ – a New Zealand wide speculative fiction writers group. She is committed to promoting creativity in her community.
