Kiwi Judy L Mohr is a writer and freelance editor. While her initial training was in scientific writing, her real passion is for fiction, where the imagination can run wild. Her editorial credits span multiple genres. She had worked on fantasy, thrillers, woman’s fiction, and scientific research publications.

Judy’s personal writing is of a fantasy flair, filled with adventure, dark monsters, humour and romance. Science fiction leaks in too, thanks to her PhD in Astronomy and Masters in Engineering. She is published in Reflections, an anthology by the Christchurch Writers’ Guild, and has several academic credits to her name. In December 2015, Judy launched Black Wolf Editorial Services.

She is the president of the Christchurch Writers’ Guild and a member of SpecFicNZ. She is also an active member in the Scribophile on-line critiquing community and is one of the NaNoWriMo co-Municipal Leaders for her region.

Judy has lived in Christchurch, New Zealand, since 2000, where the view of the Southern Alps from her driveway and the view of the Port Hills from her kitchen window provides the inspiration for the settings to her stories. When she is not writing, editing, or spending time with her husband and two teenage children, she can be found in her backyard looking through her telescope or in the New Zealand bush enjoying the world around her.

Check out her blog for the latest on her various writing projects. You can follow her on Facebook or Twitter.
