New life explodes
in open vents
vespers of baby bird chirps

About Patti Croop
Patti Croop is an adjunct faculty member at Empire State College and a retired grant writer who helped not-for-profit organizations secure funding for community economic development projects, services for at-risk children, and open educational resources to improve writing skills. She was a founding member of the Fiscal Policy Institute, Regional Foodbank of Northeastern New York, and Hunger Action Network of New York State. A lifelong advocate for social justice, Patti is currently exploring ways she can make a difference in expanding voter access. She is also working on her mindfulness practice and poetry, having recently completed Marc Olmstead’s course on Writing Mindfulness.
